    paceman's NT pajero

after selling the BT50, we were able to pick up a mint condition 2010 NT Pajero Activ...

120,000 klms on it and had been meticulously looked after by a former mechanic...

has a 1.5 inch lift kit, roof rails, ARB bullbar, side steps, satnav, etc...

now i can re-install my traxide unit in it, along with an aux battery and some other bits and pieces...

should be a great tourer for the family...

not a big mod, but a handy one nonetheless...

the pajero has an MMCS installed, which allows for navigation and bluetooth phone connectivity, but not bluetooth music streaming...

it does have the facility of an AUX port in the glovebox.

i bought one of these to try and faciltate bluetooth streaming:

but when i connected it up, there was interference, which made it useless...

    so, i found this:

this sits in-line of the audio connection and removes the interference perfectly...

i'll now look to mount both of these devices in the glovebox and power via USB with the cable i made up from an old mouse cable...

the logitech unit is a great bit of kit and i'm pretty sure would be able to used in all vehicles with an AUX port.

small mod to the pajero, but very satisfying...

the standard windshield washer jets on the NT pajero leave a bit to be desired...

not a good spray and they leak after use...

so, with a bit of help from the pajero forum (link below for others), i was able to source some honda washers which are a perfect fit and do a much better job.

a good solid mist all over the windscreen, so the wipers can actually wash and wipe, rather than smear...

link to purchase page is included in the forum thread...

highly recommended to any NT pajero owner (and some others as well)...

        another small mod...

after initially finding out that bosch aerotwin wipers apparently weren't available for the NT pajero (every site says they don't fit), i was able to find the sizes that fit...

        BBA600 (driver side)

        BBA500 (passenger side)

i initially got the BBA650, but noticed it just crosses over onto the edge of the windscreen on full extension (vertical axis), so i dropped down to the BBA600 and that worked a treat.

not sure why they say that they don't fit the pajero... i installed them and they got through the very heavy rains we have just had here with no issues...

installed some new LED interior lighting...

          two map lights at front
          two rear passenger lights
          one rear cargo light
          four 'puddle' lights in doors

          all for a great price...

spent some quality time with the pajero today:

Got rid of the useless card reader and replaced it with a single DIN pocket...

installed a double USB port in the front passenger side:

and another double USB port and 12v socket at the back of the centre console:

and got my STEDI 24" light bar hooked up:

another small, but very useful mod...

added a genuine footrest... this was standard on previous models, but not on the NT or later, AFAIK...

              makes a huge difference...

finally finished the dual battery setup...

60AH amptech battery in an ARB battery tray, with a traxide unit connecting them together...

best i could do in the small space, but it fits pretty well...

nice 14.4V on the anderson plug in the rear cargo area and the rear towbar...

little issue sorted (hopefully) in the Paj...

at lower speeds, a knock could be heard when taking the foot off the accelerator, or when tapping the accelerator harder than normal...

after doing some reading, it was suggested that loosening and re-tightening the axle nuts could be a quick fix for this issue...

sure enough, after doing that, noise is now gone... :cup:

a fairly common issue with NS/NT variants apparently, with a certain amount of k's on them (mine is about 170,000)...
