NW Rocker cover gasket set reqd

My mate, qualified diesel mech, is going to adjust the tappets on the NW just after Xmas. I wonder if anyone can tell me where I can buy a complete gasket set to do this job? Quality aftermarket or should I just buy from MM?

Any chance you could post up the part numbers and quantities of the items in the kit, please?

I bought an aftermarket gasket kit when I first did the valves on my Dad's 4M41 Triton.

Turned out it was dearer than genuine, even at good trade prices.

The factory kit includes the rocker cover gasket and the 4 rubber grommet seals for the injectors.

According to local dealer all the 4M41s are the same. He didn't even look up part numbers. I just asked for one for 4m41 and he just grabbed one of the shelf. The old fashioned way.

I commented about it and he said it's easy. They only component they keep on the shelf for 4m41 because nothing else fails.

He then went on to talk about all the bits he has to carry for the MN Triton (4m5??), even pointing out his old NH shorty in the car park that he drives in preference to his work supplied MN because at least he knows it won't break down.

I got a AM gasket when u did the valves. My mechanic got it for $30. Blue. He said the blue ones are better then the cheapie black ones. Lol?
I didn’t worry about injector rubbers. He said just lube them up a bit so they don’t pinch

So today I bought a complete kit to remove the rocker cover and do the valve adjustment..

part numbers for 4m41 motor (2014 NW)

              GASKET, ROCK, QTY.1 ME192209 1 OF
              OIL SEAL,RO QTY I MN158385 4 OF
              OIL SEAL, RO QTY1 1052A099 4 OF
              GASKET, THRO QTY 1 1450A147 1 OF

ALL CAME IN THE ONE BAG AS A KIT.......SEAL KIT, VALVE ADJUSTMENT AU900093 Decided to use genuine as the car is still under warranty and although the services have been done correctly and at specified times/mileage...they have cost bugger all due to a mate in the business.

$211...Complete rip off as well....Probably $5 worth of rubber. Just as well the Paj is super reliable
