    Hi yann

The correct terminology for Mitsubishi Pajero fault code is 'DIAGNOSTIC ERROR CODE'
I suggest you 'google' something like 'diagnostic error code Pajero'

The 'P1272 High to Low Side Open - Cylinder' you quoted, I don't think was for a Pajero. The nearest I can come up with was 'P1272 Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor 1' for a Terracan...which I think has a Mitsubishi engine....why do you not go to a Mitsubishi dealer to have diagnosed with a MUTT tester?

Yes, its not the SCV though, I have replaced it with a new one. The car made a loud snap or crack noise then limp mode & code P1272. Any ideas? Rocker arms are all fine but do need adjusting.

Thank you for posting the link!

As you say the code for P1272 is "Pressure limiter open valve abnormality" I was not sure what this meant so I adjusted the tappet valve clearances and the code disappeared.

I now have P0089 which shows up as
"Fuel pressure regulator 1 performance (Pressure limiter valve opening abnormality"

I replaced the Suction Control Valve before doing the tappets, so I can't understand why this code is now coming up, I might sand out the old one and put it back in or risk a huge bill by asking Mitsi main stealer to look at it.......

It was a blocked Manifold pressure sensor pipe.
It was blocked at the manifold where the flexi pipe joins to it. Unblocked it with some wire, all codes clear now!!

The joys of a functional EGR. Time for a full manifold clean. This sensor got moved in later models due to this problem an was also the subject of a feild service bulletin in AU where if you grumbled enough you got a retrofit of the later one.
