Yes, battery connections are clean and tight. Battery is good, about a year old. There's no flickering from lights when driving.

However the shuddering is new. For the first 125k km with the SMF it didn't shudder, so you can see why I'm slow to blame the SMF for the shudder.

what does it cost to rebuild one of these engines? Ebay shows used engines for around $4000, and rebuild kits for $1750. At least if you rebuilt the engine, you'd know about where you stand with it....
