I use a little 8 litre weed spray pump pack with a laundry type hose and shower trigger nozzle. Cheap and very effective. Because you can carry water in it when travelling it's never a waste of space...

My windscreen on my NW was replaced recently for a RWC. The new screen is an acoustic glass type. The auto wipers did the single wipe on startup for a few days and then came good of its own accord.
