If you look closely at his pic you will see that his enclosure is bigger than the standard pajero gauge enclosure . I bought one for my NL .
They originally housed a nav unit.

Didnt know the 2.8 was available with 5 sp auto. IMO the 5 speed auto makes a huge improvement, especially with the petrols.

That appears to be a gen2 with the 5 speed tiptronic auto trans as first seen on our gen 3 nm Pajeros.
We did not get that version here in Au.

It probably also has a mivec motor or direct...

The 3.8 mivec is very smooth & makes the swb a delight to drive. But it’s a thirsty mother that’s for sure.

Have had e lockers in both nl & NS since they first became available for the Pajeros. Turfed our the arbs with much pleasure. Imo much better system than the arb & you donít get any oil blowback...
