My Paj Diesel also takes a good 10mins to get warm, my Toyota Hilux diesel is getting warm before I reach the end of the drive!

So worn seals could be leaking oil into the inlet or more exhaust gas?

3.2 Diesel engine smoking.

2004 3.2 Diesel, just on 300'kms, oil & filter done every 5'kms for the last 100'kms.
Penrite 15 / 40 HPR semi synthetic.

Gets all round use, we're out of town so always warm before it trundles...

Changed the pads today & fround both sides have a stuffed boot on one of the caliper pistons.

Are these an easy sway or do you need to remove the caliper/ piston & bleed etc?

The Surf even has an "Idle up" switch to warm it, raises the idle revs to about 1200rpm, its warm before you can say boo!

I wondered if the injectors are fouled causing them to not spray / atomize correctly causing pour combustion at lower revs.

Yes it is also possible that either the starter & battery terminals may need cleaning & tightening and also the cables to the starter can break down & cause the same fault.
