    Central Locking Module

    Hi all
Probably a silly question, do the NG Pajero's have a central locking module?
If so where it is located.

My central locking is working fine

but I am curious whether it has a control module or just a relay that controls them from the drivers door locking mechanism.

The reson I am asking is because I am going to fit and after market keyless entry kit (fob) to the existing central locking.

    Regards

Yes, actually it has both. A control module and also a relay module. They are both located under the centre console. If you like I can dig out my wiring manual for the car and find the exact diagram. I put central locking in my NG however it only had factory manual locking so I basically wired everything from scratch and used aftermarket door motors, bit annoying at the time but worth while.

      Hi TomW

yes I would greatly appreciate the schematics specifically for the central locking.

Luckily mine already has the factory central locking but it is key only.
I have fitted central locking to cars that have not had it on many occasions but because this already has it ineed to know where to tap into.

Manual is available from below link:

See page 100 of the manual for the central locking diagram.

            just an update

I have successfully integrated the keyless entry into the existing central locking.

It was actually quite a simple matter, the hardest part was determining which system the car was fitted with.
The instructions of the universal keyless entry had 3 different kind of locking systems, once I determined which mine was it was very simple to connect.

Good to hear it worked out for you in such a simple manner, certainly a very useful feature to have in a car.
