    3rd row seat removal

Hi there, I’m aware of how the mechanism should function (tilt forward once out of the fold away under floor space) however the seat is only coming out on one side. The release mechanism on the left appears to be jammed. Curious to know if anyone else has had a similar issue. I’m trying to avoid having to remove the interior trim to get at the fittings to unbolt it. It’s holding up my camper modifications as a I need the seat out to use that under floor cavity for an auxiliary battery system.

Bugger me, I am having exactly the same issue on the left side, have removed it numerous times then all of a sudden can’t get the left side out, it seems it won’t open the latch to pull it out, or the release won’t work, no matter what I do I can’t get to release.

Ok thanks, I will give that a go, I did notice that pin was a little floppy.

Well after trying the solution proposed in the other thread, i’m out of luck. No matter what I try, I simply am not able to get the seat out on the drivers side, and am at risk of permanently damaging the mechanism if I continue down that path. So the only remaining option is to remove the bolts from the body so that I can get the seats out, and hopefully fix the issue in the workshop.

Has anyone removed the seat mechanism completely in this way? Manuals are short on information in this regard and i’m trying to assess if I need to remove the entire rear trim just to remove a few bolts.

I had a similar problem a few years ago,
there was something stuck in the mechanism stopping it from moving,

Just take the small cover off the mechanism and undo the bolts that are visible, there might be enough movement in the bracket to unstick the mechanism.

I have had the plastic off in the cargo area a few times now, so I can't recall if I had to do that for this problem.

It’s 3 bolts, you can 2 off with that small cover, but you have to take the rest off too get to that back bolt.

So my problem is the left hand side where the sub is, I had a look and there looks to be a fair amount of plastic to come off, I am not good with taking plastics off as I may cause more damage to clips, etc and don’t feel like taking the hours to take off and on. So I worked out can drill a 20mm through to the top of the plastic above the bolt and just use a longer ratchet, and just get a rubber grommet to fit when finished.

                        Seat Removal

I built a a table for in the rear of the Paj that was designed originally by another club member, that sometimes is a little reluctant to come out. Normally it is simple enough to raise it up at the rear and give it a forceful tug. Occasionally it doesn't

Try using a long large screwdriver to manually operate the latch (press down on the pin and at the same time partly raise the seat and give it a tug. I have found that this usually release the latch.

Yeh tried everything, even using a screwdriver under the latch just above the spring, that also releases it, but it just won’t budge, that latch won’t pivot like the other one does doing the same method, I think maybe something has gotten in behind it and seizing it up.
