    Air con control panel

    Hi all
Does anyone know if the air conditioning control panel(air con ecu) can just be swapped for another unit or does it need to be programmed?

If you mean the actual panel with the dials and swifch on it no it does not need reprogramming bud, straight unplug and plug in new unit.

Reading your other post and just checking......have you had or done any other work like new stereo etc requiring the need to remove the stereo and thus move wiring?

Thank for the reply I did put a uhf in the place of the panel below but that was 6yrs ago. I’ve checked all the wiring between the panel and the air mix damper and has good continuity and no short circuits. My issue is it’s an intermittent fault, I’ll be half way through checking and it will start working. That’s why I thought it might be a wiring fault but that’s testing ok.I’ve replaced the air mix damper motor but the faults still there hence the only thing left is the control panel.

I can confirm that they can be swapped without programming (I’ve personally done it fault finding a mate’s a/c fault in his NT)
