Hi, any opinions on whether to buy an nw 2012 activ with rhino roof racks, dual battery and upgraded head unit to later mitzy unit for 16k drive away. Service book is mostly complete, was serviced every 6 months but not always to kms. It was traded to a dealer at 180k and taken around aus by the dealer principal. Having a 2000 nm petrol thats done 310k and still going strong my real concern is with the diesel engine in particular the injectors and pump. Any feed back would be much appreciated

Injectors and pump and thses things last a very very long time. Although 260kms sounds a lot there are plenty of early models (NS & NT) with same engine still going strong at high 300000kms and some have hit 400000kms.
Its a good price and with a decent service history sounds reasonable. With those kms its obviously travelled I would say predominately highway kms which is better than a city car.
It comes down to personal use etc..........are you keeping it a long time, what kms will you do per year, etc etc.2014 VW Touareg V6 diesel

Haven't heard of any issues with pumps on these models. I think a few have mentioned injectors at high kms, but not common like the Big T.
Fuel filter changes are very important on these common rail engines, so check how many kms between filter changes (specified interval is 30,000km - I change mine more frequently & wouldn't go over).
A mate is selling a similar car here (2010 NT RX) with same kms for same $ at present. He has had it from new with no issues with the car (apart from the door frame rust, which was fixed & hasn't returned). It has been dealer serviced throughout.Pajero NX MY21 GLS

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like it would still be a good buy. Im looking at it as second car to replace my nm in the hope that it will tow my parent's caravan occasionally and not have to worry about it dieing on me. I only travel about 8000kms a year but mosty short trips to work. Ironically another paj nearby just came up same year with 900000 kms for 25k so decisions to make
