    Replacing A/C Evaporator

Just wondering if anyone out there has replaced, or had to replace the A/C evaporator in their Gen4 Paj? I've just been informed mine has a leak which is dumping all the A/C gas into the cabin of the car!

I have seen some posts about the Gen3 (NM/NP), but nothing about the Gen4 (NS/T/W/X).

Has anyone done it yet? does the ENTIRE dash of the car need to come out (PLEASE say no.....)

    TIA!

    Hmmmm..... - http://faq.out-club.ru/download/paje...e/index_M1.htm

EDIT .............Ok, pics and link not happening for me

Try this - either way, from that link I sent go to 55 then sub section heater unit.

Obviously you are not going to need to do All of that (this the complete removal or installation guide) However bottom pic item No12 is showing you where it lives. Still have to have the refrigerant removed completely and properly, don't think you have to drain coolant IF you can remove/slide out just the evaporator but I have my doubts.

Thanks for this - I see a weekend with my head buried under the dash in my immediate future.....

does not look like fun - am hoping the evaporator can be removed from the side, and the access port isn't on the drivers side.....

If you loose the link Rugga has put up read below to find it within the forum bud.

Check out the online service manual in Do It Yourself Projects section. of forum for future reference. Click on top sticky DIY Bibles, scroll down to Gen 4 then click on Tech and body repair manual. Open thread up and it tells you how to open the online tech manual in English.
