    Ultimate suspension woes 😢

    Hey all

Looking for some advice for you that have ultimate suspension fitted to your vehicle.

I ordered & paid for a kit 10/10/18. I followed up today 25/10/18 to find out how long it was going to be before it is going to be shipped, only to be told it is going to be another 6 weeks as they don't have the shocks in stock. I cant say the service prior to this has been great, I had to tell the sales rep what was on my vehicle twice, had to chase up my quote, had to chase up how the kit is coming along, I have been putting this aside hoping the suspension is going to be out standing.

So my question is to the guys that have ultimate suspension fitted to their vehicles, is it worth me waiting another 6 weeks for the kit, is it going to be worth it or should go with my 'plan b' and go with my second choice of suspension which was only a nano behind from being selected any way.

    Cheers

    Matt

What was second choice, was it just a toss of a coin decision? It might get a few answers if more info is available.

I gave up waiting for a quote, went with Dobinson instead.

I'd cancel the order and move on. If they try to argue, tell them you were never advised there would be an 8 week wait, and you wouldn't have placed the order had you known.

Pretty much a toss of the coin, there have been some pretty good reviews on the product from other forum members & the customer service/after delivery care seemed very good from what I was reading. And I like supporting small business where possible.

Second choice is still a toss up between Dobos & billies

That's a shame. Sounds like you have been very happy with the product but he service levels are pretty average now

I had a very good experience with them and been very happy with the setup. A little soft but that is the Lovell springs more than anything (HD rear, MD front).

But 6 weeks... I would look at Buskskins. He uses a Koni or Bilstein shocks with Kings/Lovell springs, both of which are really good. Give him a ring, he is really helpful.

I've been thoroughly pleased with the setup on my Challenger since 2012.

Can't recall the delivery time frame (seldom an issue for me in any case), but the service from Ultimate was second-to-none.
They went out of their way to securely bundle another supplier's gear on a pallet with the Ultimate suspension components and sent the load from NSW to SA.

After sales service has been great too.
A query about a small leak in a shock absorber (mid life) had them pay for courier/freight expenses to & from SA-NSW-SA so that the rear shocks could be rebuilt at no charge to me. No questions asked.
Can't get better than that imho.

no experience with Ultimate but went Bushskinz and had them in under a week.
Went to the local to have them fitted

I haven't been personally in touch with Ultimate for a while but not long ago I was talking to one of the Sydney guys who does keep in more constant touch. He told me that Ken has been very ill for some time and that Brendan had come back in to the Ultimate side of the business to help run it in Ken's absence.

I understand that their problems don't necessarily excuse what appears to have been some fairly ordinary customer service but sometimes people make judgements without knowing the whole story. That business has been built on exceptional customer service and it wouldn't be like either Ken or Brendan to drop the ball without some reason.

After two sets of full suspensions, both handled with amazing service, I'm not currently in the market for more suspension bits but, when that time comes, I'll be giving them a fair go.

I've been having the same issue.
                            Ordered and paid late Sept.
Called Friday to follow up on order and told they had no front struts available but were trying to source a set and hopefully get the kit out to me in the next week.
Apart from the delay they have been great to deal with
