brake light flashing

Has anyone had this trouble went outside tonight and the brake light on the rear door is flashing on and off has anyone had this and how do i stop it any help would be good on a NW

Has the trailer wiring or trailer brake controller been touched lately? These 2 items are the prime suspects with brake light issues when the ignition is off.

How sensitive is the pedal switch for the brake light? Do the brake lights come on as soon as you touch the pedal or do you have to push it say 1 cm before they glow? If it is very touchy, adjustment of the switch is required. This should be under warranty for you. as above, if you have a trailer plug, you may be getting some contact across other pins etc. Incidentally, the brake lights do not require the ignition to be on before they work.

Is it only the brake light on the door & not the 2 at the sides?
Is it the one at the top of the window?

The early model Prodigy brake controller had a habit of going into this mode. All stop lights would flash/come on full. Replace controller if this is the cause as they are not repairable
