    inlet manifold removal procedure

    Hi guys,
i have to usual massive amount of carbon/sludge build up in my inlet manifold, have a catch can on now and the spv module but need to get it cleaned out. Thought i saw a guide to removing the inlet manifold for a carbon clean but can't find it with the search button...can anyone send a link to it, or failing that recommend somewhere to get it removed and cleaned in Brisbane or Gold Coast and a price please?

I am in the process of looking for the same, NS with over 300,000km.
I have talked to the guys here but haven't had a chance to get the vehicle to them yet.
I think they quoted $500, might pay to check that figure.

Well, I had the quote. Fuq me sideways. 970 bucks. Oh but it includes an ome fuel filter. SCV apparently hates aftermarket filters. WTF is a scv???

                  Suction control valve.

Responsible for controlling fuel pressure in common rail engines. They move via a solenoid with each small incremental variation of the throttle.

Total BS. There are many running non genuine filters here and some running dual filters with high Ks with no drama. Ours included.

This is an excellent PDF. I used this 12 months ago to clean my manifold and it makes the procedure simple to follow. Took me the good part of the weekend to do, but got there at the end. Very labour intensive, and can understand why its quite pricey to complete if you pay someone.

Does clogged up manifold trigger any fault code OR does cleaning of the inlet manifold fix any scanned fault code?

I know cleaning of it returns back overall performance of the engine
