    3.2 did sump removal

Does anyone know if you can get the sump off a NP 3.2 in car or do you have to remove the engine ? Had two clonking noises and the engine stopped and now slow to turn over Checked the top end all good Checked dip stick and the end is bent and damaged It has 210 000 klm I think a big end has come off or broken crank Was doing about 1100 rpm in 3rd gear down the Hay River track when it let go
2006 NP Snorkel Bullbar More goodies come 2001 NM full of goodies

Well that's a really crap spot for this to happen! Hope the recovery went well.

I am 99% sure the sump won't come off without removing the engine.

It wasn't too bad Had another 5 cars with me Towed it nearly 400 klm over 100 plus sand dunes Doing 3car snatches Broke 4 straps and then we tied bowline knots in the ends and broke about 6 of them Nearly 4 days of towing Don't get the car back for 3 weeks from Birdsville
