NL Pajero with the flared Gaurds Snorkel pics Please

    Hi All

Going to put Snorkel on Pajero in the next couple weeks and would love some pics of how you guys have been doing them ..

I have the flared guard model and any pics of what it looks like especially with the hood up so I can see where you have come out of the panel into the air box

    Thanks All

good work.... Think Airtek' went a bit crazy with the amount of studs needed to hold it on though lol... Overkill for a plastic snorkel, I just made a mandrel alloy snorkel and used one 8mm bolt through the guard and two 5mm's on the pillar, plenty secure.

Has anyone got an eBay snorkel? Are they a copy of the airtec one? I had a cheap what snorkel on my jeep. It looked really low quality but it did the job..
I about mind if it looks cheep. But I don't want to compromise on air flow. Any advice?

Got a cheapo eBay fibreglass type one on the Escape. Been on the car about 8 years I'm guessing.

About three years ago I gave it a couple coats of plasti-dip and that's holding up great. Also a quick patch repair as it got a small crack which I think was because I kept leaning on it when getting over into the bonnet to tinker.

Otherwise quite happy with it overall.

I self installed one (eBay Safari knockoff) on my old NL about 5 years ago. The NL has been owned by Forum member Gemster for the last 2.5 years but I believe the snorkel is still going strong. I had no problems with airflow. In fact, I noticed a slight performance improvement at highway speeds with the snorkel.

Still going Hot and Strong Geopaj... Well maybe not so strong Rolled over to 400,000 last week.. So looking at a 3.8 conversion before Xmas... She has been a fantastic 4x4 and I will NEVER part with Mitzy. The Snorkel is still strong and I have put it to good use with some deep water.... Only thing besides the usual maintenance I have needed is a Starter and a Battery...

                        Gemster......

Ok awesome. Tjm quoted me$450 to buy the airtec snorkel and install it myself... I'll go with the cheap one from eBay for less than half the price!

Off topic but tha wide fender SWB looks fantastic. IMO the sexiest of all Pajeros. I don't think I've ever seen one on the street.
My perfect Paj would be one of those, with M/T and a 3.2DID transplanted under the hood
