The dreaded transfer light flashes again..
Here we go.. I've had a problem with the transfer light flashing when put in 4H after a few metres of driving, at the time it would not even go into 4hlc and 4llc it would just flash the moment you tried! I've been racking my brain for months and months, chasing all the vacuum lines, replaced the solenoids under the air box and still no bingo! Last night I was laying under the car playing with the shift switches that are placed at the top of the gear box! After plugging in 1 new one at a time and manually activating the switch i narrowed it down the the brown plug in the group of 3 being what I believe is the centre Diff lock switch, after a couple of hours of working by touch only I managed to replace the switch solenoid, i now have all the 4x4 modes and it switches and engages successfully.. however!!! Once engaged in any 4x4 mode after approx 10-20mtrs of driving the dreaded transfer light flashes again, it stays in the selected mode but just the hassle of turning her off and on to enable the system to allow you to move back to 2H.
In my mind I'm thinking it's another switch, possibly the 2wd / 4wd switch, however knowing the switches are either pushed in or out depending on the mode selected I can't understand (knowing that it engages up until you move 10-20 mtrs) how it could be another switch!!
Anyone have any ideas?? Has anyone had similar issues? It has new tires all the same size, all diff locks ect engage and remain engaged.. lost totally lost!!
