Quick question, when the old fuel pump died, the dealer gave it to me in a box. is it worth keeping our just send it to the tip?

God no, it can be rebuilt ! It might cost a heap to do but some of the parts, that may still be ok, are getting harder to obtain.

Seen this today on Ebay, not sure if they are the same as our pump, however for those who are having problems it could be worth checking them out looks like they do a number of different pumps. Not sure how good they are?

Meremale, I'm near Albany now. :-) I might hang on to it, and if we keep the NP for a few more years send it to Fremantle Diesel to have it reconditioned. Don't have the money now. If we sell the car we'll throw it in with the sale.Comment

I have a spare fuel pump that I replaced with new one last year sitting in my garage- tried to sell to Lismore diesel to recondition but they didn't want it... was going to clean it and turn into a paper weight... but if anybody wants it happy to sell to be reconditioned and used.
