Petrol NT Lovell Spring for medium duty (0-300kg) 2 inch lift

    Hi,
Mine is an NT petrol paj and have zeroed in on the Lovell/Bilstein "medium duty" 40 - 50mm lift Bushskinz kit. Being a petrol its presumably a bit lighter in the front.

Has anyone with a PETROL Paj (NT) without steel bar, aux battery in engine bay or winch installed this kit and whats your feedback on the front ride height.

    Regards

    Matt

Matt, give Kieron from Bushskinz a call, he is an advertiser on this forum and gives a discount for forum members. He has also had pajeros as his own car, he is easy to talk to and IMO suggests the best kit for your needs.

Of coarse I agree to getting other members opinions also. Is your NT LWB or SWB

Thanks Rugga. Mine is LWB. Had a really good chat with Kieron and also made contact with Mike at Lovells. Heath at WEB suspension also very knowledgable.

Have clarified now that the non HD Spring applies to the petrol and diesel Paj and should sit fine for my load situations. There's a correction to the Lovells catelogue needed basically to include the NT petrol model in with the NP and NS.

In the event I need to setup for a long term trip with much heavier loads I'll either fit some airbags or go to HD springs on the rear.

      Cheers

NT V6 Bilstein and Lovells lift

So in the end I did a 2 inch Lovells and Bilstein lift. After some good discussion with Kieron at Bushskinz, Mike at Lovells and Heath at WEB suspension, a non-HD lift was chosen (CFR-90 and CRR-91 springs) and fitted last week by WEB suspension.

Really happy with Keiron/Samantha at Bushskinz for their help in sorting out a shipping issue and also pleased with the knowledge and service at WEB.

I did the Border Track over the weekend and was VERY happy with both the extra lift but also the ride quality on the track and the open road with vehicle loaded. Unloaded too the vehicle is so much better also in managing the bumps and lumps of normal driving too - less harsh and boaty than the original equipment. All in all whilst I was a bit fearful of the spend, I actually think its the best money spent to date on the car. Cant wait for the next trip with the camper.

Excellent. I really can't think of a negative issue with getting a good quality 2" lift. ...... Well except for then wanting to buy bigger tyres $$ oh and bash plates $ oh and more recovery gear $$ and tell us later what the old sphinctometer reading is when you go to get into an inner city multifloor car park (for the first time and forget you are lifted) with lots of traffic behind you, is

Bushskinz front and sump guards on order - discovered the original equipment sump guard is plastic and slightly detached after the weekend.

You should get into most car parks with a 50mm lift. I had a 50mm on my old NM and it was fine, however I had a problem where when the front wheels articulated too much the drive shaft wasn't long enough and would pop out of the hubs causing the front wheels to lock up.

How did the rear sit with the SD's and the camper hooked up? did she sag a bit or look like she would sag after a while? Keen to know as looking for the same set up for my SWB but unfortunately don't have a keiron up here in brisbane.

                  SD Springs and camper

                  Hi Aff1878

SD springs are perfect for my camper. Camper in question is a Jayco Swift Outback so ball load is around 120 kg. The usual sag you see on the factory springs is non existent. It all sits nice and level even with a couple of hundred kgs in the load area of the Paj. Very happy. No need for airbags.
                  Cheers
