Want to make my own roof rack bag but when the canvas gets wet, it doesn't take long for the inside to get wet. I hate having to spray any thing on it.

Why not use a vinyl product? I had a ripper motorcycle cover made by a chap in Alice Springs. Cheap and tough as well as waterproof. Easier to clean than canvas and available in a multitude of colours.Dicko. FNQ

Just head into any Australian canvas product maker who will make you one using tough as nails 100% waterproof Australian canvas.
Mine has been soaked externally but the inside has always remained dry.
