    Help import info

Hi all, first of all, great wrk no the forum so far has been a wealth of information! Lovin it, fixed the 4x4 problem with flashing lights etc, etc.
Now the problem I do have is I can't get any information anywhere on my car?
As far as I know it's a gen2 swb pajero, 3L v6, 5speed man, (ralliart badges) not sure as to wether thats genuine or not?? as i cant find any info anywhere about ralliart pajeros?? it was imported from Japan in 2000. That's it! No idea on how to find out what year? Extras, I called Mitsubishi here in cairns whom said they can't give me any info cos it's an import??
hoping that someone on here can help or point me in the right direction,I only paid $500 for the car but wanna turn it into a little weapon. Thank you in advance

Hello Roach - welcome to the forum.

With a username like Roach, living in Qld - are you an import from NSW?

Anyway - 3 litre Gen 2 shorty? I like it!

The import date doesn't help too much; we really need to know the build date. Here in Australia, they stopped selling the 3 litre Pajeros in about 1997, but they kept going in other markets. Knowing the build date might help us make (educated) guesses about the closest match for MMA vehicles.

Out of curiosity, is the engine 12 valve or 24?

Post some photos - the vehicle, the engine bay, any compliance plates. We'll have a look, and argue about what it all means.

'91 model is effectively NH model here in Australia. V23 is a code used to describe the model in some other markets, but I don't know how well it correlates with our market specs.

V5MT1 is the transmission code (5 speed manual), 4875 is the diff ratio (4.875). Don't know about the others.

it looks like it may be a standard swb, I would say the ralliart badges are add-ons,but could be wrong , check out mine, basically the same but mine is a diesel, mine is also an import, prefer the swb versions over the lwb versions.
have fun (ab)using it off/on road.

I quite like the dark sinister look , word of advice though when looking for parts don't tell them (MM) it is an import, you will feel their wrath .
don't get to use mine a great deal at the moment, hopefully that will be rectified this season along with the camper .

                      sounds like the V6 and 5 speed from the late gen1/early gen2, the 4.875's is a handy addition, will take 33"S no worries. The V23 just refers to; V23 6G72 2972 P-OHC 3.0i Petrol V6 3.0P SWB 01/91-09/99

                      not much else sorry

Bakerboy. R the 4.8 gears good?? Lol. I put my 33/12.5/15 on it off my cruiser on 15x8 rims. Wound torsion bars up in the front n they still scrub a little bit(think its just the rim offset) as the 80series rims don't scrub at all with 285/75/16 on them.

Stevie for link there's sum good info in that n great pics! There's so much I wanna do to it but the bank manager(wifey) won't hand out any funds lol. But I'll get there. Any one no anything bout ralliart ?? Or has someone jus stuck some badges n seatbelt cushions on it???
