    G'Day Forum

    G'Day all,

I've been asking questions/replying for a while on the forum, but never properly introduced myself!

I'm Tayler, 17 years old and already mad-keen 4x4er. I own a pretty much stock standard NM Pajero (this will change in a few weeks!) and it is my first car. What a brilliant first car too!

I can't wait to get my P-licence in about 2 weeks, then I'll be out on the tracks hopefully meeting some up this way (I'm on the Sunshine Coast, QLD). Every weekend and holiday I get will be spent in the Pajero either exploring, taking on a new challenge or just having a camping trip.

The mod's on my Pajero will be starting very soon, just making sure I get it right the first time so doing heaps of research.

Next year when I finish school I'll be taking a big trip around Australia in the Pajero to see more of the 'real Australia'.

I look forward to chatting with everyone on the forum and hope to see you out there!

    Cheers, Tayler.

        G'Day Glen,

Yeah this plan only came after I was stuffed for ideas, and my school's "career advisor" had no ideas for me! So I thought how about I just travel and do small jobs, maybe get into Agriculture or some work that would keep me in the bush and away from the city!

Nice to meet you by the way

In all serious, welcome to the forum and we will have to go for a cruise up double island one weekend or the scrub around the hinterland, put some bush pin strips on it and make it truly unique

Haha I like my 3.5! Couldn't be happier

DiD would be nice by to be honest I can't afford it outright or to run it...

...plus I wasn't going to miss out on this one in great condition (was the parents car, but I negotiated to buy off them, so I know its full history etc..)

haha yes it is just waiting for its christening of scratches from the bush, and I'm really keen to get out on a day/weekend trip ASAP, so I'll let you know as soon as I have my licence and lift kit (all happening on the same day)

Welcome Taylor, first thing to think about is some sort of 4x4 training when you get the chance. That lovely NM Paj will appreciate your good driving habits and so will your wallet. Most importantly get out there and enjoy it.

When I was in high school I did work experience as a park ranger and I'm kicking myself for not following up on it. I have followed my other dream of graphic design which subsequently means I don't get out all that much though, and can not be out of phone or internet range for more than a weekend at most.

Nice 1st car by the way, mine was a falcon which I would take as far as I could on a bush track then turn back.

No way mate... I was looking at being a Park Ranger but was turned off it as most people said it was just "glorified manual labor"... could still be an idea for me though....
I also currently do website design/graphic design as a side job to my side job (while also doing school) :P I know what you mean too about phone/internet....
do we bit too much in common??

I don't imagine you got too far in your falcon, pajero goes much better
