    My 2c worth... (NW Release)

At last the info is out in the open. No big changes, as far as I can see.
All I can say, I hope Mitsubishi or was it Overlander 4WD magazine, DON'T allow any of our forum administrators or moderators a "sneak Peak" again. It wasn't fair on Dave, having restrictions placed on him, and in doing so, we had restrictions placed on us not to say anything, with the threat of expulsion from the forum if we said, or knew anything.
I don't believe it's in the nature of this/our forum to restrict freedom of speech, except in the usual, racial or defamatory comments against other forum members, and of course bad and tasteless language, which is usually covered in the "Rules of forum usage".
Forums like ours and many others, are usually where the "breaking news" of a new model, or whatever, are spoken about with great gusto and discussion, including photos from various sources, if we could get hold of them.
I hope me saying this doesn't give me the flick. But my 2c worth.
    Cheers, Tony.

Ok to start with I was well aware of the restrictions in place before I started the thread. It had nothing at all to do with Mitsubishi and I had all the info on the NW before Overlander introduced me to the vehicle. Again I will say the thread was desighned to create interest in the vehicle and keep all the discussion in one thread. It is generally accepted in the motor industry that if you get information on a vehicle and it has a press embargo that you adhere to it. The original release was the 17th of October. Unknown to me It was put back a week (found out from another source) but if you noticed I did not stop people from posting photos or information after that date (17th Oct). There was never any threat of 'expulsion' from this forum for posting photos or info, so I don't know where that came from . If I remember right it was asked of the members to refrain from posting photos or videos of the NW until the official release date. There was never a threat attached and nor should there be!
There was never any restriction of speech either. Only posts that were edited had either a photo or video removed. No comments were altered or removed. So your freedom of speech was still there.
As for breaking news, well have a look around the net and point to me where any info is now for the NW besides here. You guys got your 'breaking news' right here, just a week later than what you thought.
Finally I did get a bit of criticsm from the NW thread from some members. Maybe they don't understand the concept of how I work the forum but it was never intended to get anyones nose out of joint and I thank the other members who spoke up for me when I was getting a few knives in the back.
As for you Silver Streak I appreciate your feedback and no you will not be getting the flick .
