    Cruise control on indicator lamp?

Is there one and where should I see it?

There are two lights. The one that tells you the system is turned on is located on the main switch. The indicator to tell you that the cruise control is "set" is in the group of dash lights located with the tacometer. It is the 4th light along the top row of lights and has the word "cruise" written in green.

Don't suppose you know where to get the replacement globes for these switches? Both the globes in my cruise switch (as well as all the backlight lights in the others) are dead, but i'm buggered if i can find globes that size anywhere! And given they're *inside* the switches, I'm not sure Mitsu would actually stock the globes as spares?

Any good Motor factor should stock them, just take a couple of each that you require and they WILL give you the ones you want, but count the amount you require, before you go to get them, OK.

Yeh, I'm not sure if the bulb inside the switch can be replaced. I've never had a look. You might need to fork out some $$$$ to get a new switch. The bulbs in the dash are easy to replace and are available from Mitsubishi dealers. Others on the forum have said that they are also available from auto stores such as Supercheap and Repco. Either way they're not expensive.

No but cruise works OK. I'm not one to 'assume' but the bulbs appear flaky in these things.

The rocker switch hasn't a bulb, it's an LED covered with a coloured rubber boot.

You could try soldering in another LED, perhaps even a coloured LED and do away the rubber boot. However you will most likely find that the LED isn't the problem, it will be another component or the PC board, or the board itself. .

No , it's not an LED (on the NL , anyway) , it's a bulb. I replaced the bulb in mine as it was not working (I grabbed one from the wreckers) , they are tiny. You'll have to remove the switch and dismantle it carefully. You could try a very small LED & a 220ohm resistor in series if you are handy with electronics , but the trick is in finding an LED small enough.

Yeah, definitely not an LED - tiny little glass bulb with a coloured condom on it, sitting in a small rubber mounting.. I'd thought about using LED's, but yeah, finding a small enough LED that still had a 'wide' enough light output would be tricky.. as would fitting it in there with a resistor to handle the power

I must have different switches in my imported 2000 Pajero. I have LED's in all rocker switches connected to a small PC board inside the switch.

Plenty of room for all components..........

I replaced some of the blown globes inside the rocker switches with 'seed' or 'grain' globes - I got them from DSE (who don't appear to sell them anymore) - but these look the same:

Strip off the insulation and wrap the leads around the rubber holder bit inside - worked well and have been going for about 2 years since. Careful wrapping the leads, the rubber bit on mine split very easily.

                        Good luck.

                          Cruise on switch LED conversion

I just replaced the yellow TSD-077 bulb with a 3mm yellow LED and 1200 ohm 1/4W resistor. Don’t use 220 ohm suggest elsewhere, that is for 5V not our 13.8V. I soldered the fine wires off the old bulb onto LED and resistor lead so they could be passed through the contact holes, the LED leads were too fat. The + brass connector is connected to the center switch contact strip, make sure LED anode (long pigtail) goes on that one via resistor.

UPDATE: use a 1Kohm would be better as mine is just a bit dull in daylight. Also not that the LED does not dim when lights are turned on like the old filament globe did so my 1K2 ohm is good for night time.
