If you think it is blocked up with gel, flushing probably won't remove it.
There are several threads on this for info....

I wonder if the battery current sensor could be faulty? (but I have no knowledge of how these work).
There are quite a few things in the workshop manual that you could check:

In that case, I would seek a second opinion before doing any work....

Arrrgh!
Refer my questions/comments in post #3
I would make an appointment to discuss with the Service Manager if you decide to proceed....

Do your hazard lights work?
Has any work been done on the car recently?
Has it been through water?
I assume you have checked the belts?
Have you checked the connections to the battery are clean inside & tight, including the...

If you removed the battery lead, the ASC light will stay on until you have driven for a few minutes (not just idling). This is normal.
If not this, then your new lights are probably not canbus compatible.

Have you checked the timing chain tensioner? The chains don't usually give trouble in these engines.
I would consider replacing injectors at mid life on these engines.
What grade of oil are you using & how much do you add...

The tappets are quite a precise job.
On the NX, there is a kit of seals that must be replaced to ensure no leaks, etc. There is also a pressure test required after reassembly, again to ensure no fuel leaks. They need a special MUT unit (or similar?)...

In my experience with the NX the smaller services are not much cheaper than if you just paid the full price to the dealer, but the larger services are much cheaper than full dealer prices, so considerable savings. Probably the same for the QF. Plus you...

The top hose can get too close to the fan belt pulley which then cuts through the top intercooler hose, on the underside where you cant' see it.
You then lose boost & get warning lights, etc.
Simply feel under the hose near the pulley...

Rattle guns should be banned!
Any time saved by using them is usually lost down the track fixing the problems they cause!
Why can't some trained mechanics do things properly? Some are good, but others, well.......................

Be careful not to let any spray run down onto the plastic trim or bumper, as it may stain - put something over it to protect it....

I'm unsure if the plastic can be removed first, but I doubt it.
There are captive nuts welded to the inner cover frame that the 2 long bolts go into.
It may not be rust. Many times people either do these bolts up too tight or cross...

Try phoning a couple of other dealers for a quote, as they can vary by quite a lot.

I had the same thought.
You could try some good quality injector cleaner.
Could also be bad fuel. Have you checked the water trap?
Have you checked the oil level?
Also check the belts for any damage....Last edited by spot01; 1 week ago.

The tail shaft on these cars is a special carbon material, so I'd be vary wary of anything non-genuine....

Very unusual, particularly in a Paj so young.
How much oil is coming out?
Is it definately engine oil, or could it be the protective wax they put in the bell housing when built (& are supposed to remove at the pre-delivery)?...
