ok, tape attached and I will check it in a week. Not sure if it’s my imagination but I think it’s getting worse. My money is on LCA on that side as the passenger side is fine (although I put tape on there as well to double check)....

I had the same thought this morning - it might well be happening at full speed but the engine noise drowns it out. It’s not a particularly loud click.
I also thought it was worse when first moving the car, and less bad after some time...

only on the drivers side shock, passenger side is fine.
no sign of witness marks on the axle. I’m assuming it’s such a glancing contact it’s not leaving much on the rotating surface?...

Also the vehicle has been for many routine services since they were installed, is this something I should be annoyed wasn’t picked up? Even a visual inspection? The only reason I’ve taken a closer look (and eliminated other things like CV wear) is...

thanks for such a detailed response OJ! 275,000km on the odometer, LCAs nor the bushes replaced in the 100,000km I’ve owned the vehicle.
I don’t believe the top mount was replaced either, I will dig out the invoice to check and check...
