Yes shockers/struts can make a "knocking" sound even if they are not leaking.
Are the top and bottom shocker/strut mounts ok?

If you are using High Range then make sure it is 4Hlc so the centre diff is locked rather than 4H (AWD) with an unlocked centre diff.

Hi Mark,
With 265/60R18 HT tyres I would suggest 16psi, anything below this and you risk sidewall damage especially if the speeds are over 40kph, and for extended periods of time.
The front bash plate will easily be "remodelled"...

Dino from Climax is correct, I am a nice bloke! He is also correct in his assessment of the variables of axle weights that effect coil selection and the requirement use of airbags. There is no one size fits all and every suspension upgrade is a compromise....

It is not possible to fit 285/75R18 tyres to a Gen 4 Pajero without major modifications as the tyre is 109mm greater in diameter than the factory specified tyre.

If you wrap some electrical tape around the base of the strut where is appears to be contacting and then check for signs of contact in a weeks time, this will confirm that the contact is actually still happening.
Also check the sway bar...

Can we assume that Dino's "in the back" is axle load?
There is a big difference between 300kg extra rear axle load and 300kg towball load, the difference is about 150kg!

I can see that both camshaft sprockets timing marks are not aligned with the timing marks on the back plates.
The timing marks on the camshaft sprockets about 4 or 5 teeth clockwise from where you currently have the timing...
