Hi Mark,
With 265/60R18 HT tyres I would suggest 16psi, anything below this and you risk sidewall damage especially if the speeds are over 40kph, and for extended periods of time.
The front bash plate will easily be "remodelled"...

Dino from Climax is correct, I am a nice bloke! He is also correct in his assessment of the variables of axle weights that effect coil selection and the requirement use of airbags. There is no one size fits all and every suspension upgrade is a compromise....

It is not possible to fit 285/75R18 tyres to a Gen 4 Pajero without major modifications as the tyre is 109mm greater in diameter than the factory specified tyre.

Welcome to the forum.
Can we assume you purchased a 4wd so you can venture off the bitumen?
Maybe tell us a bit about yourself and what was the motivation behind buying a Pajero Sport.

Hi Mrw,
Thanks for the axle weights, the coils suggested below will take you up to around the maximum sensible ride heights.
A few people on this forum are using Durashocks and these seem to have a good reputation, I haven't driven...

Hi Dino,
At 150,000km if the suspension is still original, it will be sagged and need to be upgraded if you are intending to load it up and travel for extended periods.
Factory ride heights are 503mm front and 533mm rear, measured...

If you wrap some electrical tape around the base of the strut where is appears to be contacting and then check for signs of contact in a weeks time, this will confirm that the contact is actually still happening.

Can we assume that Dino's "in the back" is axle load?
There is a big difference between 300kg extra rear axle load and 300kg towball load, the difference is about 150kg!
What part number rear coils are being fitted?

Hi Rob,
I can see that both camshaft sprockets timing marks are not aligned with the timing marks on the back plates.
The timing marks on the camshaft sprockets about 4 or 5 teeth clockwise from where you currently have the timing...

The throttle valve is moved by an electric servo motor, so did the mechanic move it to to open position and then disconnect it?

Looking at the problem again, we can rule steering angles out so that reduces it to 4.
I would have thought if the axles were contacting the strut body whist the wheels are turning then there would be witness marks on the axles also???

5 possible causes or a combination of all 5.
1. LCA bushes are worn, how many kms on the odometer? Have these been changed yet?
2. Wheel alignment is incorrect.
3. Steering angles are incorrect.
4. Front ride height too low, what...
