hi just wondering whats the best method for preventing rust around the brakes as shown in the photos. put in a couple of photos of the new car as well. very happy with it, certantly its a buyers market at the moment. any way some advice would be great cheers dave

There are some spray paints available for high heat applications and some that sell themselves specifically for brake callipers, have seen it in autobarn.

I dont see why, after some heavy sanding to remove the rust it would not work.

Lot of effort tho.... :)

Nice looking Paj Chanoo - looks like the previous owner kept it in really good nick.

As for the rust, I wouldn't bother about it on the disks, but if it bothers you, then I'd probably take the wheel off, and go at it with a wire brush to loosen any stray bits of rust. I'd then spray the rusty bits with an engine / heat-proof enamel paint from a spray can. Any overspray on the rotors will just get worn off.

thanks fellas i was thinking bout not worrying bout it. just thought there might be an easy fix perm. solution but looks like she'll be right. cheers dave
