Rollover? I'd call that a flop. Poor 'Cruiser was tired, and flopped for a rest.

I wonder if the driver walked the creek before he drove it? It's not like it's too cold or flowing too fast.

Recovery seemed good - calm, in control, no fuss.

    Nice vid.

It looked like there were two steel rim spares strapped on the roof rack over the cab. If the back of the vehicle was as heavily loaded, it may have encountered its S/DCoG limits as so comprehensively detailed recently by Old Jack http://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/...3&postcount=10 and zigged when he should have zagged...

It looked to come out pretty unscathed, I thought.

Recovery revealed a big hole under front left wheel at same time back right wheel drove up onto hump and as said above the load on front left corner of roof ensured a roll. Don't think I would have started engine before lifting lid. Motor had a knock at end of story.

My 1st thought was that it was top-heavy & driver too lazy to walk the creek before attempting a crossing, especially as someone pointed-out that wasn't cold (& others waded across to help recovery).
What really puzzled me was the elaborate recovery-method used, when they could've easily driven a vehicle back across creek past the dozing Bland-bruiser (hole appears to be only on that side), & pulled it from the rear. That would've righted it onto dry land so engine could be checked for any water ingress.

Yes I think a case of AGNI recovery
All the Gear No Idea ................ recovery could have been much simpler as said with far less risk of further damage to body or mechanical.

All i could think of when watching this video was how many times that one bloke walk near and under a live winch cable.. Would have been pretty loaded. Apart from that a nice safe recovery. Could have had a fatal end though.

I noticed that as well, lucky nothing let go, could have ended up much worse.
                    Cheers,
