View Full Version : Fitting NK Rear Shocks?

Hi All i am fitting rear shocks to father in laws Pajero tomorrow is there any tips and tricks fitting them or is it straight forward. Any pics would help. I am also doing bushes sway bar and control arms etc.

hi owl, i think they are the same all the way through, prity straight forwards, nice easy job

do the coils need to be compressed or are they loose enough to be removed once the shocks are unbolted ? (sorry for hijacking the thread)

Yeah the job is very simple. I just took the old shocks straight out (no jacking, etc.), then I bolted the new shocks through the top first and then lay down underneath the car and pushed the bottom up until I could slide the bolt through the bottom mount bracket and torqued it up :beer[1]:

Sway bars are also easy but i haven't done the contorl arms, i think you need a fair bit of force to push the new bushes through the eyes of the arm as well :dunno[1]:
