now it just the rest of the battle scarred bodywork from uncut hedges, misplaced rocks, stone chips, badly repainted parts and the horses that tried to chew it a few weeks ago.

they weren't my horses, I merely parked up in their field over night whilst camping and they tried eating the stickers and wing mirrors. The mirrors are fine, but they got a toothful or two of paintwork with the stickers. stupid creatures.

The guy who wrote that stuff hates horses because he was out-smarted by one when he was a kid!
Maybe the horses tried to eat the stickers because the glue smelt good, sort of horsey!

Cheers :)

the europeans have the right idea! mortadella is pig latin for dead horse... the japanese call it cherry blossom meat ... and my dear departed grandfather always refered to silverside as "corned horse".. sounded like a joke to me when i was an ankle biter but ?????

I've heard this before, but haven't found any reputable source to confirm it.

Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mortadella suggests the "morta" comes from "mortar" (used to grind the meat before making the sausage) or "myrtle", used as a spice in some forms of the product. It has nothing to do with "dead".

I also haven't found a source claiming it's made from horse meat - pork seems to be the most common. Of course, given that horse meat is widely consumed throughout Europe, I wouldn't be surprised if it is used by some to make Mortadella - so some Mortadella could be horse, but not all Mortadella is horse, and it doesn't appear that horse mortadella is common.
