Hi everybody, First post. I have an np 2003 exceed with a brake warning light problem, it stays on after releasing the handbrake and the brakes are dragging a little causing the brakes to heat up . I have taken it to mitsubishi and they say the computer says everythings good as far as system is concerned therefore the problem must be in the trailer brakes or gas system. Have had a good look and disconnected trailer brake module with no changes. anybody got any ideas before i spend a fortune of my hard earned on a auto elec ? ANY IDEAS WOULD BE APRECIATED THANKS. Don't know if there is any conection but new front disc pads were fitted recently and after that the stability control light stayed on intermitently up untill the brake warning light decided to stay on. Is there a chance that dirty brake fluid has traveled back up through the hydraulic booster causing a valve to stick and would this show up on a diagnostic check from mits?

re brakes
Sorry, should have stated the obvious. that was my first thought, if only it was that easy. Have spent the day on it with no luck, starting to think it might be the master cylinder. Cleaning abs censors as a last resort. don't know what to do next?. Thanks for your input.

Are the brakes heating up on all wheels ? There is a chance the master cylinder is not returning all the way back ( bit of a problem on BA falcons ) if it is just the back it could be a sticky hand brake cable .Typical dealership if it don't come up on the puter there stuffed . if all else fails go to a brake specialist05 NP Platinum 3.2 DID Mods yet to come
