    Planning to replace your timing belt ??.

    Sometimes when you fit a new belt you might have to turn the camshaft slightly to align the belt.
    Here is a handy tip to try.
    Cut up some flexible plastic. (an old ice cream container lid work well).
    Make it about 10 millimeters wider than the timing belt. Place this over the camshaft gear and then fit the belt over the top. This allows you to turn the camshaft slightly to align the belt teeth onto the cam gear without having to remove the belt if the cam does needs to be turned slightly.
    Once the teeth are aligned remove the plastic and "Bobs your Uncle".
