Amplifier install in Pajero..with poverty pack 6 stacker

As the technical officer for a 4x4 club I am ashamed to say I gave up!

It appears that the 6 stacker uses a common negative wire for left and right sides. That concerns me...it is not a big wire and whilst perfectly adequate for the 1 watt factory stereo...running a very powerful amp will see smoke!

Will look to get it fitted by someone with a tad more knowledge. Suspect may have to run fresh speaker wires all the way back to the speakers from the amp.

I don't have the finesse or patience for hat job.

It definitely needs more power to the speakers.

The poverty pack stereo has a different wiring loom to the mmcs. That one sensibly has 2 wires for each speaker and is neatly ticked up behind the stereo!

Does anyone know something I don't?

Explorer, I'm not one to contradict but........

I have an NT GLX with MMCS which I have added amps etc to and I'm sure (positive) that all speaker channels have seperate + and - wiring from the head unit to speakers.

Or have I missed your point?
    Regards.....Keith.

I cut the wire that I expected would be right rear negative and it dropped the whole right side! That's why I thought it had a shared negative....?
