Whats better then Canvas for holding alota Water?

I made a canvas bucket that can hold around 40L, but even after weathering it many times properly with that much water is drips on the bottom a lot. The water must be pushed thru the fine fabric by the weight/presure. Compare that to when there is only a small puddle (maybe 1-2L) there is no leaking.

So far from all the searching I have considered silnylon or waterproof Lycra fabric.

Hoping for anyone who has used these two & are they good alternative materials? Canvas is strong when sewn, but drips like a faint shower.

    thanks

What are you looking to do? A drum, a tank or a bladder holds water, but I'm guessing you know that already.
