idleing dramas!

Old girl has nearly reached 400,000kms and is starting to show her age.... having problem starting and when it runs it revs high... (we're talking 2300-2400). The idle motor was replaced as the old one had an open circuit, and since then it has reved even higher! (2800-3100)... moh.... seems as though it is unable to maintain the fuel pressure?? It had a manifold leak repaired 6000kms ago (coolant leak) and had the timing replaced also since we were in that far. Any ideas?

oh forgot, tis a 91 NG 3.0L EFI fuel.

moh, don't say that! hoping for maybe a simple thing... It has never had a problem before, I thought maybe it was just payback revenge because I bought a Nissan patrol... :-(
